Yellow-breasted Chat

Yellow-breasted Chats are an elusive and unique bird in the US and Canada, but they're worth keeping an eye — and even more so, an ear — out for this spring! The Yellow-breasted Chat is quite the oddity: It is the only member of the monotypic family Icteriidae, and one of the reasons why it was moved out of Parulidae (warblers) is that its vocalizations are so different.
